Recycling Collection: Recycle your unwanted items into a donation for the horses and ponies at HS. Please donate any unwanted jewellery, gold, silver and costume jewellery, odd earrings and snapped chains are a great start, any old or new foreign or UK banknotes and coins, stamp albums and collections; binoculars, telescopes, opera glasses; old, first edition and author signed books; model railways and cars; small bronze figures; medals and other military items; old maps and ordnance survey maps; fountain pens, inkwell and desk stands; pocket watches, wrist watches and travel clocks; cigarette cards, lighters, case holders and other smoking related items; fishing equipment; antiques. You can drop your items in the collection box in the office.
Pets at Home VIP Club: WHS is one of Pets at Home Hastings VIP Club charities. This means that whenever a customer of that store selects us as their charity they'll raise lifelines for us, which get turned into cash and can help us buy food, bedding and anything else we need to keep the horses in our care healthy and happy.
If you would like to help support the horses and ponies here are some ideas both large and small, any form of support no matter how small is always gratefully received and put to good use.
Donations: Make a donation either using the Donate buttons above or by post. If donating by post please make cheques payable to White Horse Stables- Horse Rescue and send to White Horse Stables -Horse Rescue, Stocklands Farm, Ellenwhorne Lane, Staplecross, East Sussex TN32 5RT.
Rehoming /Loaning: WHS has a number of horses and ponies available for loan on working livery which means they remain stabled at the centre. The cost of loaning depends on the size of the horse as the larger ones require more feed and bedding. There is also our cuddle livery which is for those who do not wish to ride but like to have regular contact with a horse and be involved in their care. White Horse also has equines which are available for a permanent loan or for rehoming.
Gift Aid: Gift Aid is an important addition to any donation made to WHS. If you are a UK Taxpayer then WHS can reclaim tax on your donation (25p for every pound donated). You must have paid enough income tax or capital gains tax in the year which will be at least equivalent to the amount White Horse will claim.
Easyfundraising.org.uk: This is a very simple way to raise money for WHS if you shop online and it won't cost you an extra penny! Just visit www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/whitehorsestables to register and shop with over 2,000 retailers like Amazon, Argos, M&S, Ebay and many more. Whenever you purchase something via the easyfundraising page the retailer will donate up to 10% of the purchase price.
Save used Postage Stamps: Collect used postage stamps which must be unsorted, on a single sheet of paper (the front of the envelope) and trimmed with a approximately a 1/4" of paper around each one. Send your collected stamps to:-

At the end of each quarter a cheque will be sent to White Horse who will be paid £6 per kilo. It sounds like a lot of stamps but the more people that collect for us the more we can raise.

Information about the charity you have selected and the amount you are donating will also appear in the listing. Every time you sell an item for charity, you'll get a fee credit on your basic insertion and final value fees equal to the percentage you donate. So if you donate 50% of your sing price to a charity, eBay will waive 50% of your fees.
PayPal Giving Fund delivers 100% of your donation to the charity of your choice, plus any applicable Gift Aid. If you have made a Gift Aid declaration, your chosen charity receives an additional 25% of any donation made.
You can also donate to WHS by donating at checkout when you buy an item. You can add White Horse Stables- Horse Rescue to your favourite charities from My eBay- Accounts- My Favourite Charities.
Leave a Legacy in Your Will: Please be assured that anything you leave to White Horse Stables will be used to help the horses and ponies. There are three main types of legacy that you could leave.
1. A Share in Your Estate (residuary). This is a share or the remainder of the estate once all other legacies or expenses have been paid. These are valuable gifts as they are likely retain their value in the future.
2. A Sum of Money (pecunairy). This a specified sum of money. The value is likely to decrease over time so you could consider index-linking your gift.
3. A Specific Legacy. You could leave White Horse Stables a gift of property, personal items or stocks and shares.
